Transcription: This bronze statue of Edward Louis Bob Bartlett was a gift from the state of Alaska. Bartlett worked as a reporter and gold miner before moving on to become a United States Senator from 1959 to 1968. Bartlett is widely known as the architect of Alaska statehood.
